I’m no expert on Islam, but I’ve done my share of reading, and finding a Quran translation that people agree upon is easily as difficult as findle a Bible translation. In short, no one agrees on one excellent one. Nevertheless, Muhammed Asad’s Message of the Quran gets generally high marks from Western scholars for its translation and the depth of its notes.
I mention this because the hardback generally runs fifty dollars or more, but the Kindle edition is a mere ten dollars, which I think is a definite steal. If you have Kindle in some form or other, and feel the need for a Quran translation, this is a great choice.
