New Esword Links

Even casual readers of Goulablogger know I am a big fan of Rick Meyers’ Esword Bible software. I think it is the premier free bible software, and there are paid extras for it that only improve it.
So, to further my support for this fine software, I have added two new links in Resource Links on the right sidebar:
Estudy Source: The paid Esword modules site that also offers eAudioSource, a site to download audio bibles and inspirational audio books.
Esword Live: An online bible study site that right now seems more geared to IPhone and ITouch. I leave it to those of you more wired than I to judge its usefulness. It has numerous non-English bibles, several Greek New Testaments, some classic out of copyright/old commentaries and dictionaries, and a few recent English bibles (ESV, NASB, CEV, GNB) along with a few ye olde English Bibles. It’s major lack right now is a Hebrew Old Testament.
Rick Mansfield posts on Bible software from OliveTree here and here. That is almost surely your best paid Iphone solution, especially if you worry about not having an internet connection all the time.
Check these resources out and buy a few things so that you support Rick Meyers’ ministry, at this point proudly able to say “over eight million served”. But remember, much of Esword remains FREE.

I have a macintosh and cannot download the software so I have to use live e-sword.net but now I can’t even get that. Apache uses it for a test page?

I wonder if it isn’t something to do with the server overload at eSword dot net. Rick had to take the 9.x download down to upgrade the fiber optics to handle the traffic.
