A number of new readers are being referred here by a WordPress link which I finally checked out.
Here is the official statement as of August 2, 2008 as to what happened with Sitemeter and Internet Explorer.
I hope all you Sitemeter users are informed and reassured.
As for me, I am reminded of my incredibly antiquated brush with programming, and two things stick out in my mind:
“fatware”
“Make a program any idiot can use, and only an idiot would.”
Mind you, that’s circa 1982 computers. Everything about computers is immensely fat in comparison, these days. And relative “idiots” (the general public) are a huge part of the computer user base today.
Let’s hope something like this doesn’t hit the Java code in our cars, eh?

I got tagged yesterday in a rather dull meme courtesy of TC Robinson. The dullness of the questions came from that guy who no one’s commenting to on his new commenting system, Roger Mugs (He’s not that enigmatic really, BTW). Here are the questions:
Q1. If you were to be in ministry 10 years from now (whether you’re in ministry now or not) what would you like to be doing and where?
Q2. If you could wake up tomorrow with a degree and all the learning that would have gone with it from any seminary which one would you pick and why?
Q3. What’s your poison: donuts, beer, wine, pizza, chocolate, twinkies, key-lime pie?
Answer 1: I’ll never be in ministry because that’s not my gift. The closest I’ll ever come to it is teaching a Sunday School class at First Baptist Pascagoula where I’ve attended the majority of my life. And it will be a definite miracle in which the Lord has me dragged to it kicking and screaming because public speaking is not a gift of mine, either.
And if you’re asking how I know what my gifts are, I tell you: I took a spiritual gifts survey recently so I know my gifts quite well.
Answer 2: Hmm. My two big interests are biblical history and textual criticism. Yes, I’ll take the cheap and easy answer, Alex. Dallas Seminary under Dan Wallace for textual criticism.
Answer 3: Anything with much sugar in it is my poison thanks to Type 2 Diabetes. That being said, pizza for the meal and sugar free chocolate for dessert.
I tag nobody cause this one just doesn’t tickle my fancy. But anyone who would tell me where the fancy is located on the human body in comments or on their blog would be most appreciated.
